They Never Disappoint
Steve’n’Seagulls is a gift that keeps on giving. It’s hard not to fall in love with this Finnish quintet and their unique twist on rock ‘n roll and metal hits. These guys basically raised the bar when it comes to cover versions. They take the songs and make it their own – bluegrass style, of course. This rendition of the 1964 classic from The Animals is nothing short of spectacular.
This is why we’re so hooked on their music. No one does it like them.
“Of course there are a lot of changes in the music industry and the media in general, but I think it’s more important to try to come up with new ways of doing your thing or finding new channels… I think the best thing that musicians can do is just try to make as good content and music as possible.” – Vocalist Tomi ‘Remmel’ Tajakka

We’re not so sure what to feel about the lyric changes but overall, it’s still stellar. You have to hand it to these guys, they’re clearly dedicated to their craft which is what makes us look forward to their next cover every single time.
“Just because it’s fun to just try a new instrument even if you don’t know how to play them, because you spend hours and hours with the instrument and maybe get something out of it, it’s just a lot of fun to mix those in our music. The elements like the banjo and double bass and accordion, then like take something out of the books.” – Wild Till Hiltunen
Oh and in case you’re wondering, the band’s name is a pun for the actor Steven Seagal. Interestingly, most fans keep on asking them who’s Steve but they actually don’t have any member with that name. Yep, these are some seriously creative and clever guys.
