Christmas With Three Dog Night
We’ve all heard the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly money-lender who hates Christmas and eventually finds redemption in the three Ghosts of Christmas – but in 1984, Charles Dickens’ 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol got a facelift for the 20th century in the form of Scrooge’s Rock and Roll Christmas, which is every bit as awesome as it sounds.
A rockin’ update on a timeless classic, Scrooge’s Rock and Roll Christmas features rock icons like The Beach Boys’ Mike Love and Paul Revere and the Raiders teaching Scrooge the real meaning of Christmas using some seriously rockin’ takes on Christmas classics, but our favorite moment came in the form of Three Dog Night’s funky take on “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”.
Sporting ski gear and snow in their hair, Three Dog Night really crank up the holiday cheer with this Johnny Marks classic to create a performance that’s sure to leave you with a serious case of the warm and fuzzies this season.
