Time To Get Excited!
It’s safe to say that Ritchie Blackmore’s reunion with Deep Purple is essentially the Loch Ness Monster of the world of rock & roll. People claim to see signs of it, yet after all of these years, it never becomes a proven thing. Nevertheless, even over 20 years after his departure from the band, fans remain hopeful. However, it now looks like our faith is about to be rewarded, at least according to Ritchie’s wife Candice Night.
In a recent interview 95.9 The Rat, Candice spoke about the possibility of Ritchie reuniting with Deep Purple for even just a few concerts. Here is what she had to say.
“I think Ritchie’s talked… For a few years, he’s said he would be willing to go on stage and do a couple of concerts with PURPLE; he said he would have no problem with doing that.”
Yep, folks. This is the part where you get excited, because given that Ritchie is ready, willing, and able to perform with Deep Purple, as is the band themselves, you can bet that Deep Purple’s future is looking bright!
