Foghat Bassist Dead At 68

It is with great sadness that we have just learned that Craig MacGregor, bassist for the legendary rock band Foghat has passed away at the age of 68. Craig first joined Foghat back in 1976 and remained with the band on and off until 2015 when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Complications due to lung cancer are believed to be the cause of death. Foghat took to their Facebook account to make a brief statement regarding Craig’s passing…

His Roots…

Craig started playing music at the age of 7 learning many different instruments such as piano, trumpet, and even the drums before finally realizing his destiny on the bass guitar. Craig joined several bands and even toured the states finding moderate success. It wasn’t until 1976 that he found his home in Foghat and remained a consistent member of the band until his departure in 2015.
