His Story Is About To Finally Be Told…
For many people, Chuck Berry was the king of Rock & Roll. He is said to one of the creators of a genre of music that has resonated with its fans and given a voice to a voiceless generation. It just goes without saying that Chuck is one of music’s great founding fathers, pure and simple. It also goes without saying that he left behind one of the greatest legacies any musician could ever hope to have, and the story of that legacy is about to be told…
According to Deadline, Chuck Berry’s estate has authorized a biopic to be made about the rock legend with the working title Chuck! The Documentary. As of right now, there is no word on when production will begin or who will be playing the role of Chuck Berry, but we do know that the biopic will be directed and produced by Jon Brewer. Here is his statement regarding the project.
“I am very privileged to be able to produce and direct this fully authorized and official story of the legendary Chuck Berry.”
Obviously, there are many questions regarding this announcement. The biggest one being ‘who will play Chuck Berry?’. Time will tell, but for now we should get VERY excited!
