Bluegrass band goes viral with country cover of AC/DC classic!

When you think of bluegrass, you probably think of Oklahoma or some state down in the South of the United States. A Bluegrass band from Finland called “Steve ‘n’ Seagulls” took on an AC/DC classic, “Thunderstruck“, and the end result is nothing short of amazing. With banjos, a mandolin, and spoons, this is unlike any rock cover you have heard.

Watch as these country boys wearing overalls, funny-looking hats, and country boots, use twang and a country, home-grown sound to portray this rock classic ballad. But these guys are REAL musicians with REAL talent.

“We just started off with cover versions of pop songs from around the world, and started the whole metal/rock thing about two years ago. The thing with the first video was to get some commercial breakthrough with this line-up. It’s been a nice change for us, the whole acoustic thing; we had all been making a living out of making music, but electric music, so it’s really fun to do something different.” – Steve ‘N’ Seagulls

Surprisingly, the mix of country and rock works well for these Finnish boys! They have a unique way to create their own sound and shtick and it’s working. In fact, we love writing about these guys because we get to enjoy their awesome style of covers.

Let the music take over, and listen to this unique mix of sounds with an open mind. The cover might just grow on you! Sure, it doesn’t seem like the best idea when you just read about it but once you give it a try, it’s hard not to fall in love with this version.

With so many covers out there, this one truly stands out and it’s easy to see why. Keep on rockin guys!
